We want our Church to be a place where everyone is welcome and made aware of the love of Jesus
Location
Lynton lies at the heart of Exmoor, England’s smallest National Park. High moorlands sweep down to the rugged cliffs lining the Bristol Channel while wooded valleys are deeply incised into the uplands. Lynton is perched high on a cliff some 150 metres above the sea and looks down on picturesque Lynmouth clustered round an attractive harbour.
Spiritual Priorities
Our Worship Services are lively and informal, charactised by Biblical Preaching, Praise and Prayer. We make use of contempory music, Testimony, Drama and Prayer ministry. We share the Communion on a regular basis, Prayer is encouraged both individually and corporately within services, Home groups and Prayer and Bible studies.
Reaching Out
We have a wide range of Evangelistic Activities ranging from Alpha courses, Men's Breakfasts, Afternoon Tea at the URC, Butter Churn Cafe Church, Chat & Play Toddler Group, Friday night Youth Group, Garson House Residential Home Monthly Outreach, 3 Home Groups and a brand new Sunday evening Praise, Share and Prayer Service.
The friendly atmosphere of our church is often commented on by visitors of whom we have many. We make a point of giving a special welcome and always provide tea and biscuits after services so that we can have an opportunity to chat.
We see ourselves very much as a family with everyone feeling a real sense of belonging.
Do come and join us and pray for us and for the work of God in this area.
