Thoughts Around Watersmeet

Dave

Recently I attended with a few other men from the church, a one-day conference organised by Christian Vision for Men. One of the subjects covered was titled 'Know your enemy'. It was highlighting how Satan infiltrates our lives and attacks the very foundation of our faith. Satan is particularly active when we as Christians start sharing our faith through witness and reaching out to the local community.

As a church we are definitely on the move. We have already seen a small increase in membership and new people starting to attend on a regular basis. The plans and ideas we had from our away day are now beginning to take shape. So it is at this time when we are going from strength to strength that we are going to be at our most vulnerable. We are going to experience doubts, we may even be attacked both physically and mentally in an attempt to weaken us and question our faith. We may find situations that are difficult to cope with and be irritated by a whole host of things.

In the coming months and years we have to remain true to God and strong in our faith. We need to support and encourage each other and recognize when Satan is having a go at the church and us. So I would ask us all to continually pray for guidance, strength and endurance to come through victorious for Christ in the battles ahead.

God Bless
