As a result of our 'Away Day' held at Lee Abbey last March, a proposed worship team has been suggested by Reverend Jeff and URC elders, comprising of Mary Hawkins, Malcolm New, David and Julia Dean, Nick and Anita, Brian and Janet. Our very first meeting was held on Friday 18th September. This began and ended in prayer, as we felt we really needed God's guidance and presence to be with us in discussions and plans.
The evening resulted in very positive proposals, in fact, very exciting plans for the future, whereby many folk within our fellowship at Lynton URC can be involved in enhancing our worship, together with contributions from Christian friends, helping to strengthen our own faith and reach out to the many visitors who come within our church building.
All ages and points of view were taken into consideration and we do feel that we can make a difference in playing a small part in sharing the Gospel within our fellowship and within the community in Lynton. Once our minister and our team of elders have agreed the proposals then details can be announced and distributed within our Fellowship.
