We meet every wednesday 10.00am - 11.30am.
Well this has taken off really well. Average attendance of 20 babies and toddlers and these are all accompanied by mums, or dads, grandparents or childminders. The hall is filled with the happy hum that comes from children playing and adults chatting. It is a lovely atmosphere. Toys galore, chaotic but not noisy!
The children are provided with healthy snacks and the adults with unhealthy biscuits which they seem to love (don't they Laura)! Often we have the lovely Janet at the end of the session who brings her guitar and gets the children to sing nursery rhymes with relevant actions. You cannot but help smile and no matter what may be going on in your life it is very uplifting there.
We have a regular band of helpers Amanda, Lovely Janet, Kareen, Eric, Ruth, Hilary and of course Mandy who turns up every week, slaving in the kitchen and always with a cheerful smile and great humour. Also grateful to Dave who puts the toys out every week and helps to put them away.
We will shortly be meeting for a Christmas meal and are planning a Christmas party for the children accompanied of course by Father Christmas.
