Every morning this week (except Thursday) 9.00am to 12.30pm - church hall re­decorating will take place - if you have a spare morning, please come along and do a stint - please bring own roller-brush if possible - the more people who help, the easier the task

• Tuesday - the church meeting previously announced for 8th September has now been postponed to 22nd September
• Wednesday 7.30pm - prayer time
• Friday 2.3Opm - chess club
• Friday 7.30pm - house groups
• Saturday 12th September - film - 'A Man Called Peter' Next Week
• Sunday at 11.00am - worship will be led by Rev Dudley Mease
• Wednesday 16th September - start of new Toddler group - see note below
• Friday 18th September - scrabble club re-commences for the winter session Advance Notices
• Tuesday 22nd September - church meeting
• Saturday 26th September - 10.00am onwards, the church will be open to receive harvest contributions and for the decoration of the church - all helpers welcome
• Saturday 26th September 6.30pm for 7.00pm - harvest supper - please put your name on the notice board at the back of the church if you would like to come
• Sunday 27th September - harvest festival
• Tuesday 6th October - 'Afternoon Tea at the URC' starts again for the winter – first Tuesday of each month
• Sunday 11th October - Lee Abbey local churches evening
• Saturday 24th October - musical evening
• Saturday 31st October 8.30am - 'Men's Big Breakfast' - this is the first of the new winter series - last Saturday of each month

Toddler Group

A toddlers group has been planned to start on the 16th September from 10.00am to 11.30am. This will give the mums an opportunity to meet with one another, have a chat and drink whilst their little ones play. We will call it Chat and Play Toddler Group. A donations box will be made available so that food and drinks cost is met. It is hoped that this will happen weekly but this will be reviewed after 6 weeks as we do not know what the response will be or any problems we may encounter. There is a rota for people to provide the drinks and set out but if you have not been asked and are interested then please see either Pat Moore or Janet Mogford.

Thailand prisoner

Our prisoner in Thailand Gary is 60 this month. We thank you for all that you have donated to try and make his and others internment more bearable. We would like to send a colourful 60th birthday card to him and so a card is provided for you to send to him. Please sign the card if you can - the more the better.
