I believe...

I believe that we should reach out to those who so desperately need the hope of a better life both in this world and the next but I have nothing to do with the Evangelical Alliance

I believe that God so loved the world that he sent Jesus into the world so that those separated from him could be part of His Kingdom through faith. This belief is fundamental to my faith but I am not a fundamentalist.

I am a liberal which means that I will listen caringly to what others have to say and not that I believe in nothing at all.

I believe that Jesus did not come to judge the world but to save it so I will not act as if I was God. I believe God loves those who have lost their way or never found it and longs for them to return to Him.

I believe in a historical Jesus and not a mere myth but I do not believe that we can prove his existence by referring to documents of doubtful integrity. We know Him as fact by the revelation of the Holy Spirit.

I believe that reading the Bible is essential to our understanding of our faith but I do not believe it to be a rule book to quote at people merely to justify our own prejudices nor that it is a substitute for 'having the mind of Christ'.
